Hole & Corner
Великобритания
Добавлен 1 фев 2012
Hole & Corner was launched in May 2013 as a lifestyle brand celebrating and promoting creativity, craftsmanship, heritage and authenticity through digital, print and events. The name is inspired by an old English phrase:
‘Hole-and-Corner: adj, a secret place or a life lived away from the mainstream’
It is about people who spend more time doing than talking, for whom content is more important than style; whose work is their life. It’s about telling stories of dedication.
Hole & Corner magazine is published biannually, dedicated to stories of craft, beauty, passion and skill. It is distributed internationally, with stockists including Do You Read Me?! in Berlin, Athenaeum Niewscentrum in Amsterdam and 300 Barnes & Noble stores in the US.

Murmuration

Watch one of nature’s greatest displays… The starling murmuration over the reed beds at Snape Maltings is one of the most stunning wildlife experiences in the UK. An ever-changing, undulating cloud made up of thousands of birds can be spotted at the autumn around dusk. Believed to be a signal to neighbouring starlings, attracting them to the area so that they can roost together, murmurations al...

Watch the six-month process to capture The Spirit of Christmas, putting craft back at the centre of London’s seasonal display of lights… In the not-so-distant past, the seasonal lights in London’s West End were nothing if not honest: cheap and glitzy tie-ins with movie franchises that put commerce firmly at the centre of the Christmas message. But no more. This year, the largest display of ligh...

The founder of Haeckels organic seaweed skincare brand and self proclaimed bearded weirdo, Dom Bridges, tells the story of his brand in a Hole & Corner film by Steve Fisher. Dom Bridges is pretty sure that, in the early days, the locals thought of him as ‘the bearded weirdo on the hill’. But in the last year or so, he’s made slow and steady inroads into rejuvenating the reputation of one of Mar...

What does the quick cool down to 800 degrees do for the pots? What would happen if you sealed it up too soon? does the cooling quickly sort of "set" the glaze or is it about the clay body structure? Curious about wood firing.
You are good job sar same to job I am
Such a precious in every way art! 🙌
Beautiful contemporary piece and he is so highly skilled. It's wonderful to see him work.
Light head hammer strike copper bronze tin metal dance
Gotta looove the auto generated subtitles - "a princess"..
That shits sick
Now that is one SEXY man !!!!
awesome
From one pro metal-botherer to another, BRAVO mon ami! Also, I wish my workshop was that organised!! 🏆🇬🇧⚔️
If you have the equipment you can make/do anything ,
Depends on who "you" are. Most people can't do "anything", no matter which equipment they get hold of..
Guessing it would be asking way to much to skip the annoying, loud music, and just do an informative narration.
Great beard. Fantastic workmanship skills, talent and designs.
Brave man! No goggles or protection of any kind.
Doing what.? Didn't see any danger anywhere, and he did wear glasses, while using the "Dremel"
@@CONEHEADDK should have on glasses while running bandsaw
@@stillkickin9957 If I was teaching, I would demand it (like I did when teaching fly fishing to kds - safety first, and no eceptions), to not make them think, that it's optional. But irl, with my experience with silver and bandsaws, I don't think, he was in any danger there. His face is so far away from the cut, that I don't think, anything will ever reach his eyes (and if it could, he'd probably have known after a lot of sawing before becoming so good at his job, and put some on, since he did with the Dremel), and the video seems to confirm that.
I love Tony
Very inspiring..nice work! superb skill metalworks 👍
Absolutely Incredible and beautiful. Such an inspiration.
Gorgeous video. As if I needed another reason to love Georg Jensen silver.
This is how things should be today! Kids get out of school with no abilities yet they want to be head chefs, head jewelry makers, etc. no experience. When I was 16( 1970), I thought about cooking for a living. I researched the apprenticeship and had to admit it was more than I could handle 10 to 12 years as a “journey man” cook and then , then, u Hope u could get a job as a Soux chef...now kids spend 120k at culinary institute and think that makes them a chef....I respect ur work and work ethic. Thank u sir. And I must say, I am so impressed with ur skills and workshop!
Amazing talent and beautiful work, but you MUST wear hearing protection!
Are you his mother?
This is absolutely beautiful.
Stunning piece ! :)
Whilst there are craftsmen like this able to create such beauty, the world is a better place
I hope Jesper sees this ruclips.net/video/HwRQ4Jd_SHk/видео.html
Beautiful Work! The 90s music:)) I have played it a few times this year on the headphones:))
What's the difference between this John Lobb and the modern John Lobb shop in England?
